Editorial policy
Local Stage Review aims to make careful, readable writing about performance places. We explain our approach to accuracy, independence, corrections and material created with partners.
Accuracy and sources
We check factual statements against suitable available sources and make clear when a point is an interpretation rather than an established fact. Descriptions of buildings and places should be specific enough to be useful, without presenting uncertain details as settled. We do not claim firsthand visits or research that have not taken place.
Independence and corrections
Editorial decisions remain separate from commercial arrangements. Readers can send a correction through the Contact page; we review it, check the relevant detail and amend material when warranted. Where a change affects the meaning of a published piece, we aim to make the correction clear to readers.
Partner material
Paid placements and other material created with partners are identified clearly where they appear. A partnership does not buy editorial conclusions or guarantee favourable coverage. We do not present promotional copy as independent editorial work.
Illustrations
Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. Illustrations are not evidence of a venue's appearance; captions or nearby text should make their illustrative role clear when needed.
